Apprenticeship Program
Responsibilities
-
Generate new ideas about Suicide Prevention
-
Critique and “challenge” the Projects successes and growth points
-
Research
-
Manage media/ Spread the project to schools/ sports/ recreation/ churches
-
Seek new opportunities for speaking and promotion of the project
-
Attend board meetings (monthly)
-
Meet (occasionally) with the Adult Board of Directors
Time Commitment
-
6 month period before being promoted to the Student Board
-
Two hour meeting once a month
-
Minimum of two events per year (Academic Year)
Requirements/ Eligibility
-
Must be 13 to 17 years old
-
Must be a resident of Colorado
-
Must be free from self-harming behaviors for a period of 90 days or more ( or N/A)
-
Must be free from drugs/ alcohol use behaviors for a period of 90 days or more ( or N/A)

Must be able to have hard conversations
-
Must be able to provide a reference letter from an adult leader
-
Must have Parent or Guardian Consent form signed
-
Must complete an interview with another student board member
